Photofunia Fun!

CLICK ON ZEE PIC! He will come alive!

What can't you do with a smart phone? If you tell me there is something I may not believe it. Photofunia is a fun app for Android phones and it looks like they support other devices too. On Xmas day my fella, his pops and I went out for a propper BB gun shoot up in a local construction site with an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle! I managed to hit some targets too. Look out Annie Oakley. I also snapped a few pics on my phone to put this together. Brrrrr it was cold out. Being Canadian, we aren't exposed much to guns so for me this was a 'lil bit of fun.

I stumbled upon this app on Halloween when I threw together a half assed western bandit costume. And one of my coworkers requested a photo. This is me in my office cubicle. Note the files and dry erase calendar in the background. Very wild west, I know ;-)

Hey Howdy!

Street art around Yonge and Isabella, Toronto. Shot with my new Android phone ;-)

I have to say the majority of graffiti I see I don't like, I find it destructive and ugly. But once in a while I see something that makes me smile. Steve Powers equals great street art, check out a Maker Monday post at Janel Holiday Design for an interview with him including snappy photos from his series A love Letter For You.

Window Shopping

Who doesn't love window shopping (especially on the internet)?  Just thought I would share a little something that caught my eye today. I think that what draws me to this is that it reminds me of the jewellery pieces that I made in my past life as a goldsmith and at the same time appeals to my current "vintage" style and design sensibilities. Not to mention the surreal flair of the imagery. A very successful design in my opinion.

I am smitten...

for these darn cute cards from Rifle Paper Company. I stumbled across this company while flipping through a copy of BizBash at work. They have an ispiring collection of cards that I would love to buy a whole wack of. I am quite taken by the style and sesibility of the illustrations. Take a look!

Modern Girl and Betty Lou

My weekend pick me up...a pair of pretty dead stock powder puffs in the original packaging no less, Made of Marvel Velour, a Softer Velour for Delicate Skin. I will certainly make use of these. Gloria at the Painted Table has a box full. Come to think of it I might grab some more for gifts.
